Final phase of Wembley Central gets planning go-ahead

An 86-bedroom Travelodge hotel with a bar/restaurant, 29,000 sq ft of shops, 38 flats and an improved entrance to Wembley Central's Tube and train station has been granted planning permission by the London Borough of Brent reports Estates Gazette.23 Jan 2012

The consent forms the final phase of St Modwen's Wembley Central regeneration scheme. The overall scheme is a major mixed use regeneration scheme featuring a new public square adjacent to Wembley Central train station, 135,000 sq. ft of retail, 23,000 sq ft of offices, an 86 bedroom hotel and 240 apartments.

"This final phase, boosted by the recent deal with Travelodge, is already attracting the attention of retailers and leisure operators keen to see their brands represented in the transformed Wembley town centre" said Killian Morris, develop manager of St Modwen.
