Tameric unveils plans for 45-storey Isle of Dogs tower

A consortium led by Tameric Investments has published plans for the construction of 490 new homes at Glengall Quay in east London's Docklands.

The proposals, which were revealed at a public consultation last week, include the construction of three towers, two of which will be 15 storeys in height and one which will reach 45 storeys. The development will front onto Millharbour and will also comprise shops, community facilities and open space.

"I think this is a cracking area which has changed enormously over the past 10 years and is going to continue doing so," said Tameric Investments portfolio manager Ed Horgan according to local reports.

"We have focussed on giving back to the community as much as we can. We are opening up green land and over an acre of the site will be for community use," Horgan said.

Tameric said it will submit a planning application for the scheme to Tower Hamlets in December.
