Adjudication is the construction industry's unique 'fast track' dispute resolution process, designed to keep cash (the industry's 'life blood') flowing down supply chains. It is fast (28 days from start to finish), but binding - unless or until overturned by the Courts. Since its statutory introduction in the UK 1998, a complex body of Adjudication case law, rules and practice has built up. Legal issues such as jurisdiction and natural justice often play a vital part in the Adjudication process.
