Deadlines extended for new domain names

OUT-LAW News, 19/09/2001

Afilias and NeuLevel, the two appointed registries for the new .info and .biz top level domain names, have announced that deadlines for applications for domain names have been extended in light of the recent terrorist attacks in the US.

Deadlines for both .info and .biz names have been extended until 21st September.

Doug Armentrout, CEO of NeuLevel said:

"We understand that because of last week's tragic events, many businesses were focused on the more pressing and immediate needs of their companies and employees and may have been unaware of the deadline or unable to submit their applications…This extension is intended to give businesses the extra time they might need to file their domain name applications in these extraordinary circumstances."
