Nintendo today announced that it will launch its GameCube on 3rd
May in Europe with a retail price of £150 or €249, significantly
less than the rival consoles from Sony and Microsoft. The GameCube
launch will offer a range of 20 titles.
Microsoft's Xbox launches in Europe on 14th March with a retail
price of £299 or €479. Sony's PlayStation 2 launched in Europe last
November currently retails at £199 or €305.
Nintendo has also announed that it will reduce the price of its
Game Boy Advance globally on 1st February in a bid to accelerate
its sales.
