At least 20 individuals have been arrested and more than 8,500
pirate master CDs have been seized following an operation by the UK
police and Trading Standards, according to news site
TheRegister.co.uk. The UK-wide raids were apparently launched on a
tip from the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers
Association (ELSPA).
The police have also seized copying equipment worth £500,000. If found guilty, those arrested could face fines and up to 10 years in prison.
