Case study: mixipix

Delivering animated content to mobile phones

Based in Glasgow, mixipix is a mobile services and content provider. It is a new breed of media company, using its proprietary platform to create and distribute animated content to the mobile marketplace.

Pinsent Masons has helped mixipix from the start, advising on corporate finance, service contracts, intellectual property and data protection.

Founder and Managing Director Lesley Keen said:

"mixipix is proud to have Pinsent Masons as our legal advisor. We greatly appreciate the support and understanding that John Salmon and his colleagues have been able to extend to us at the early stages of our company's growth.

"We are now doing business with large players in the telecoms sector, such as O2 and Ericsson, where contractual negotations require premium professional advice. Working with Pinsent Masons ensures that our IP rights are always well protected, especially as we now move to establishing trading relationships on a global level."

The company has launched an OUT-LAW-branded mini-version of its popular cartoon messaging service, available at our Fun section.
