Pinsent Masons wins IT/IP Team of the Year

The firm behind OUT-LAW.COM has won IP/IT Team of the Year at the prestigious awards of The Lawyer magazine.

The Lawyer Awards 2006 - IP/IT Team Of The YearThe 100-lawyer strong Outsourcing, Technology and Communications team of Pinsent Masons, led by partner Clive Seddon, has been widely recognised as one of the leading IT/IP teams for several years although this is the first time it has won this award. 

The team built upon recent impressive performances and had its strongest year ever last year, winning leading roles on choice Government and private sector IT projects. This included the handling of multi-billion pound transactions for clients such as the Department for Work and Pensions, BAE Systems and Bank of Ireland, as well as winning a place on BT’s legal panel. Pinsent Masons also facilitated the Criminal Justice IT project to join-up its IT and communications infrastructure, which is widely considered to be a best-practice model for public sector IT procurement.

Pinsent Masons has also experienced growth in the areas of IP, IT dispute resolution, communications and e-commerce, and maintained its position as a recognised leader in information law.
