A major online travel company is being sued because it does not allow disabled bookers to search for or book wheelchair-accessible hotel rooms. The Californian lawsuit seeks to force Hotels.com to change its behaviour but does not seek any damages.

Wi-Fi networks came under attack last night from a BBC investigation that claimed that radio frequency (RF) radiation levels from Wi-Fi networks in schools are up to three times those of a mobile phone mast.

Cross-border disputes law achieves EU consensus by ditching defamation

The wording of a new European law controlling where cross-border disputes can be heard has been agreed by two warring EU government bodies, but only after the most controversial part of the new law, known as Rome II, was set to one side.

Google thumbnails are fair use, says Court of Appeals

A US court ruled this week that Google's creation and display of thumbnail images does not infringe copyright. It also said that Google was not responsible for the copyright violations of other sites which it frames and links to.
