What is personal data? Information Commissioner updates guidance The Information Commissioner's Office published new guidance yesterday that explains its view of what counts as personal data under the DPA. All of world's biggest firms hit by typosquatting The world's 500 biggest companies have all fallen victim to typosquatting. AT&T lawyers could sue over iPhone unlocking A Northern Ireland company that claims it can make Apple's iPhone work on any mobile network in the world says that it has shelved its proposed solution after receiving a threatening phone call in the middle of the night from a Silicon Valley law firm. 28/08/2007 http://www.out-law.com/page-8420 5. Privacy and law: 10 ways to win public trust in a surveillance society OPINION: The Data Protection Act is not strong enough to protect privacy in today's surveillance society. Church court says yes to mobile mast A church has been given permission to install a 3G mobile phone mast on its tower despite there being a risk that the mast will transmit unsavoury content.
