Drugs giant Astra Zeneca should pay VAT on retail vouchers given to staff that
form part of a salary sacrifice scheme, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has
said. The ruling could derail some similar schemes.

A justice minister has said that there is "consensus" that a privacy law is
needed, though he stopped short of committing the Government to introducing one.
A fellow senior Liberal Democrat said Parliament needed to "get hold" of privacy
law.

Oracle has sued Google, claiming that the company's Android mobile phone
operating system violates patents in Java, a technology the database giant
acquired when it bought Java inventor Sun Microsystems earlier this year.

A French court has told internet service providers (ISPs) to block access to a
gambling site that is operated out of Gibraltar and does not have a licence to
operate in France, according to news agency Agence France Presse (AFP).
