Location data should qualify as personal data, watchdogs say Geolocation information on where a person has been should qualify as personal data and be protected by EU data protection laws, a European data protection group has said. PPI sends complaints to financial ombudsman soaring Record numbers of new cases were referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) over the last year, its 2010/11 annual review revealed today. 18/05/2011 http://www.out-law.com/page-11934 3. Copyright law must focus on industry not creators' rights, says Government report UK industry has been damaged because copyright law has been too focused on the rights of creators, a Government-commissioned report has said. Government launches review to help establish new communications laws The Government has asked for industry's input on new communication laws that could come into effect as early as 2015. EU Commission may publish standardised cloud computing terms The European Commission may establish standard terms and conditions for the use of cloud computing services. Court order specifically bars publication of information on Twitter and Facebook A UK court has banned details of a court case being published on Twitter or Facebook.
