Chalegrove submits 75-storey Docklands tower plans

Developer Chalegrove Properties has submitted plans to Tower Hamlets Council for a 239 metre tower at 15 Westferry Road in London's Docklands, which would be the second tallest building in the UK.

The proposed tower building, which will replace the City Pride Public House, will comprise 864 residential units and 84 serviced apartments as well as a roof terrace and open space.

The building would be the second tallest in the UK, behind The Shard at London Bridge, and the third tallest if the currently stalled Pinnacle scheme in Bishopsgate in the City of London is completed.

The Council had previously granted consent to proposals for a 205-room luxury hotel and 619 flats at the development site.

Chalegrove has also submitted plans for 443-451 Westferry Road, opposite to the tower development site, with proposals for 173 flats and houses in buildings ranging from three to six storeys.
